Practical C, C+E, C1 and D1 licence training is based at Dunsfold Airport near Cranleigh. GS offers D1 and D1+E minibus training, not full Category D bus or coach training. Online periodic CPC and separately arranged ADR courses do not share a blanket Dunsfold venue promise.

Direct car-to-C+E: £2,459 inc. VAT. 24-hour driving-only option; medical/theory and CPC options cost more. No standalone Category C course is required first. Starting with a full car licence? Check the direct route's medical, provisional-entitlement and theory stages.
Category C1 — 7.5-tonne: £875 inc. VAT. 8-hour driving-only option with the listed practical test. Medical/theory and Initial CPC options are separate tiers. Vehicles over 3,500kg up to 7,500kg. Check existing entitlement and restriction codes before paying.
D1 — minibus: £875 inc. VAT. 8-hour driving-only option with the listed practical tests. D1 is not a full Category D bus or coach licence. Minibuses with 9–16 passenger seats, subject to licence and vehicle conditions.
Online periodic Driver CPC: £75 inc. VAT per 7 hours. 35 hours online: £375 inc. VAT. This is periodic training, not Initial Modules 2 and 4. Confirm the course type fits the work and qualification you need before booking.

Initial and periodic Driver CPC

Initial Driver CPC Modules 2 and 4 are different from periodic Driver CPC. Professional drivers normally need Driver CPC, but exemptions depend on the actual vehicle use and work. Do not assume every C1 or ambulance learner needs it: emergency ambulance service use and non-emergency passenger transport can have different requirements. Check GOV.UK and your employer before selecting a package.

Where does practical training take place?

GS Driver Training is based at Unit 508, Dunsfold Airport, Stovolds Hill, Cranleigh, Surrey GU6 8TB. Enter via Canada Avenue. Confirm the reporting point for each training, medical or test appointment; county and town guides do not represent extra branches.

Which course should I choose: Category C or C+E?

Category C covers larger rigid goods vehicles. Category C+E adds a trailer over 750kg. The Class 1 upgrade course is for full Category C holders; the separate Fast Track C+E course is the direct route from a full car licence, without a standalone Category C course first.

How much does GS HGV training cost in Surrey?

Current driving-only starting options are Category C £1,691, Category C+E upgrade £1,691, direct car-to-C+E £2,459, C1 £875 and D1 £875, all including VAT. These are different course-hour and entry routes, not all-inclusive licence totals. Check the canonical course table for each package, included test and optional medical, theory or CPC stages.

What does the Category C or C1 With CPC package include?

For Category C and C1, the With CPC price includes the selected driving course and listed practical test, a D4 medical appointment, multiple-choice theory and hazard-perception test fees, online revision, and Initial Driver CPC Module 2 case-studies and Module 4 practical-demonstration test fees. You still need to apply for the appropriate DVLA provisional entitlement and pass the required tests; the package does not itself grant a licence or Driver CPC qualification.

Do ambulance and C1 learners always need Driver CPC?

Does GS offer full Category D bus or coach training?

No. GS currently offers D1 and D1+E minibus training, not full Category D bus or coach training. General PCV licence guides explain the categories but are not an offer of Category D training.

Are ADR and periodic CPC delivered at Dunsfold?

Do not assume this. The listed periodic CPC option is online. For ADR, GS confirms the actual classroom venue, dates, modules, exam inclusions and written booking terms before payment.

How long will getting my licence take?

Training hours depend on the package. The overall route also depends on medical appointments, DVLA provisional entitlement, theory and practical test availability and passing the required tests. A package is not a guaranteed completion date or pass.
