TradeChoice Carpet & Flooring is recruiting a permanent, full-time Class 2 HGV Driver in Farnborough. The employer distributes flooring products from leading European manufacturers through 15 UK branches.

Pay and working pattern

Competitive + bonus. Monday to Friday, 6am to 4pm, with one 60-minute unpaid lunch break. A numerical salary and closing date are not stated.

The role

• Complete multi-drop deliveries safely and on time.
• Supervise HGV loading and unloading, check loads against customer orders, quality-check goods with customers and obtain signatures.
• Comply with tachograph law and safety regulations.
• Keep the vehicle clean, prevent damage and report accidents immediately under the employer’s procedure.
• Complete daily inspection sheets for the Operations Manager and help maintain the vehicle inspection, servicing and MOT rota.
• Support the warehouse as required and carry out other reasonable duties.

Licences, experience and skills

• Full, clean UK Category C (Class 2 HGV) driving licence and Driver CPC.
• One year of driving experience in the UK, with HGV and delivery-driving skills.
• Knowledge of the Highway Code, road-safety best practice and UK geography.
• Safe parking, speed awareness and road etiquette; ability to adapt to diversions.
• Planning, organisation, clear communication and reliability.
• Manual and physical dexterity, customer-service and interpersonal skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Awareness of health and wellbeing when working independently.
