The D1 7 - Hour Course - Additions (Cat D1) is a wide training course that prepares you to drive heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) with a maximum authorized mass (MAM) of over to 12,000 kilograms. The course covers all of the essential chops you need to be a safe and confident HGV motorist, including:
- The basics of driving an HGV, similar as steering, retardation, and maneuvering
- Loading and unloading an HGV
- Road safety
- CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) training
The course also includes further training, which teaches you how to safely drive an HGV with an additional trailer. This training is important if you plan to drive HGVs with a MAM of more than 12,000 kilograms.
The D1 7 - Hour Course - Additions (Cat D1) is delivered by experienced and qualified instructors. The course is tutored in a variety of settings, including classroom, practical, and on - road training.
